Tasman District Council is seeking an experienced, competent Building Technical Officer (Processing) to join our small, high-performing BCA with a strong culture of quality. About the role
You'll process and manage building consent applications, coordinating timely inputs across Council teams, and provide clear, practical guidance to internal and external stakeholders—helping us build safer communities. You'll also play an active role in supporting our customers through shared duty services, contributing to continuous improvement as Council evolves through organisational change, development initiatives, and the implementation of new legislative requirements.
What you'll bring
- Minimum 4 years' experience as a building processing officer
- NCAS minimum R3/C1 (or working toward this) and a Regulation 18 qualification
- Strong analytical judgment and confident, accurate application of legislation
