Student Summer Holiday Employment
The Tasman District Council is inviting expressions of interest from enthusiastic students like you for our exciting summer job opportunities.
Join our team from mid November to end of January and experience the best of both worlds - with nearly 400 employees, we have the structure and processes of a large organisation, but the culture and feel of a smaller one.

You will:
- Have a valid driver's license
- Be available throughout the entire employment period (note: most roles will not be required to work over the Christmas/NY period)
- Be physically fit
- Have completed at least one year of tertiary study
- Be a recent graduate or pursuing qualifications relevant to Council, such as environmental science, applied sciences, or engineering.
- Be from the vibrant Nelson/Tasman region
This year, our vacancies span across; Engineering Services, Hydrology, Water Resources, Surface Water Monitoring, Environmental Data capturing and systems and Water Compliance Monitoring.
