Things we will trust you with:

In this role, you will be responsible for providing leadership and direction to ensure the Council meets its legislative obligations for Land Information Memorandums (LIMs). You'll work closely with teams across the organisation to curate sources of LIM information, provide expert advice, and ensure compliance with the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act and other relevant legislation.

You will also oversee the management of associated property information, identifying technical solutions, streamlining processes, and supporting staff to deliver high-quality, timely responses to property information enquiries. A key part of the role is developing and delivering training to Council staff and maintaining clear, documented procedures to build understanding and capability across the Council.

Things you will be proud of:

We're seeking someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, is solutions-focused, and has a keen eye for detail. Strong communication skills, a sound understanding of legislative requirements, and experience leading teams are essential.

The Rewards:

This is a fabulous opportunity to join a performance and values-based organisation that invests in the development of its people in a gorgeous location. At Council we offer:

  • A great team environment
  • Flexible working arrangements
  • Attractive benefits package
  • Health insurance
  • A paid day off on your birthday!
  • Relocation assistance may be available

As two of the five unitary councils in New Zealand, we combine the work and obligations of a regional council and a district council in one institution. Both Councils also have the structure and processes of a large organisation, but the culture and feel of a smaller one.

If you are ready to lead a team that plays a crucial role in supporting our community and ensuring legislative compliance, we would love to hear from you.

The starting salary for this position is $94K - $105K + 7% benefits. Renumeration is based on skills and experience.

Building great communities through employing great people. Will you be one of them?
