Are you an IT systems and infrastructure professional looking for a change?

  • This is an exciting full-time position in our growing Information Services Department, based in Richmond.
  • This position takes an active role in the delivery of all IT Systems for Council, as well as contributing to the Organisational Digital Strategy and the Information Technology Roadmap.

The role

The role involves a mix across both IT infrastructure and business systems, being project work, administration, integrations and troubleshooting. Working alongside your IT peers as well as into the wider business groups and council staff for BAU and IT projects. You will share responsibilities for administering and supporting Council-wide information systems in a hybrid environment.

About you

We are looking for a technically competent person with knowledge and experience of the Microsoft 365 and Azure ecosystems. Traditional Windows Server core technologies and Microsoft server applications is a must. Knowledge and experience across common networking hardware and a hypervisor platform is important. You will have a tertiary qualification in Information Technology / Systems, and a minimum of 3 years' experience in a Digital Workplace Engineer role or similar.

You will be enthusiastic, organised, methodical, self-managing and have excellent communication and people skills. You'll also have a high level of motivation, and the ability to work independently while also being a team player.

Summer Student Internships

Every year we employ a number of Summer Students across the Council, to work for a period of 12-16 weeks over the summer months (mid-November to February).
