The role

You will manage and deliver your assigned projects from business case briefs, management of design process, and contract award through to the project completion. You'll provide excellent relationship management and communication to people in the community.

The initial focus for this role will be to coordinate and manage the multiple workstreams that form the review of Tasman's resource management plans. These plans provide a blueprint for where and how our communities grow and how we look after our environment. We are currently in year four of a ten-year project to produce a new plan. The new plan will need to be current, reflect community values and meet our legal obligations.

About you

Here's what you'll bring with you:

  • Your high energy, enthusiasm and commitment.
  • A relevant experience in Project Management and preferably a PM qualification.
  • Significant experience managing, and budgeting for large-scale projects.
  • A thorough knowledge of local government, RMA processes and policy development.
  • A strong commitment to iwi, community and stakeholder relationships.

Summer Student Internships

Every year we employ a number of Summer Students across the Council, to work for a period of 12-16 weeks over the summer months (mid-November to February).
