Reserves & Facilities Manager

Richmond, New Zealand

Reference: 6089411

  • Key operational and management level position
  • Create new assets to meet the needs of a growing community
  • Deliver a broad range of environments and services that promote community wellbeing

Our beautiful District has an abundance of parks, reserves and community facilities for the community to enjoy and we're looking for an experienced manager, preferably from either a city or district council, to fill this key operational and management level position.

About the role

Your main focus will be leading the team, by mentoring, coaching and sharing your parks and facilities management knowledge with them.

Our incumbent is retiring, so this role doesn't become available very often! This is an opportunity to lead those who provide our community with well managed and maintained parks and reserves, cemeteries, recreation centres, community halls and housing for older people.

Things you'll be proud of

You will understand the importance of community relationships and collaboration, be an exceptional communicator, have good financial acumen, an excellent working knowledge of the Reserves Act 1977, and be experienced in all aspects of reserves and facilities asset management.

You will also be well equipped with project and contract management experience, including health and safety responsibilities, and have a good working knowledge of asset management systems.

The Tasman District is a great place to live and work. The climate, a beautiful coastline and plenty of opportunity to enjoy the great outdoors are the some of the main reasons why people choose to be here.
