The goal for you is to lead your management accounting team to prepare, develop, analyse and communicate management accounting information to enable the leadership team and Council to make sound financial decisions.

You'll collaborate and present information to Council and Management. You will lead the financial planning on the Long Term Plan, forecasting and Annual Plans. You'll also find solutions to complex problems and work with a high level of autonomy.

The boxes you'll need to tick:

We see you holding a tertiary qualification in accounting or finance, and you'll have significant experience in the management accounting arena. You'll need to show us your staff leadership skills are strong and that you can bring people along with you on your journey to success.

Although membership with CAANZ is desirable, we are also interested if you come with strong budgeting and forecasting experience and a willingness to learn. You will have had prior experience is in either project management, data management, modelling and/or analysis.

Summer Student Internships

Every year we employ a number of Summer Students across the Council, to work for a period of 12-16 weeks over the summer months (mid-November to February). Recruitment for Summer Students begins in early July. All applications must be submitted online via the vacancy on our Vacancies page between 1 July and 31 July each year.
