Apply your exceptional executive assistance skills to support our busy Group Manager - Finance. Your professional, effective and timely day-to-day operational support will make a difference!

Things we will trust you with:

This is a busy and rewarding role. The most important objective is to keep the Group Manager - Finance organised, informed, and prepared for anything that comes their way. You will also provide robust problem solving, critical thinking and use your initiative to lead business process improvements and help deliver on strategic priorities of the Finance Group.

So, we are looking for someone who can think ahead, prioritise, and juggle the Group Manager's jigsaw puzzle of a diary as well as triage enquires and be able to know what they need before they do. This full time role is also the eyes and ears of the Group and offers administration support to the wider team as required.

You will bring a professional, confidential approach and be able to present information to Council, management or members of the public. You will be customer focused, highly organised, have great attention to detail and be flexible to comfortably switch focus and tasks.

You will be relied upon to bring a no flustered approach and mange a diverse workload so self-motivation is key!

The boxes you will need to tick

Have senior EA experience or have these responsibilities as part of your role. You will have experience in report writing/preparation in a corporate or government environment. While full support and training in our systems will be provided, you will need to be highly digitally literate and extremely confident using the Microsoft Office Suite and other computer software programmes.

Summer Student Internships

Every year we employ a number of Summer Students across the Council, to work for a period of 12-16 weeks over the summer months (mid-November to February). Recruitment for Summer Students begins in early July. All applications must be submitted online via the vacancy on our Vacancies page between 1 July and 31 July each year.
