Due an upcoming retirement we are looking for someone to lead our Property Services team. Reporting to the Community Infrastructure Manager you will be responsible for providing comprehensive in-house facilities management, leasing, maintenance and management of assigned Council properties (including land acquisitions and disposals) and managing Council's vehicle fleet. You'll also be a proven leader who mentors and develops your team of direct reports, and contributes across the organisation.

Professional in your approach, you will be an analytical thinker with the ability to operate at both a strategic and operational level. You'll bring your excellent communication, consultation and negotiation skills and will have a collaborative approach to your work which will complement your strong customer service focus.

You will stand out to us if you have a degree in business studies/property management to complement your significant relevant property or commercial experience. Extensive knowledge of the Public Works Act, Reserves Act and experience in developing asset management/business plans and project management are all areas that we will be strongly looking for in your application as well.

Summer Student Internships

Every year we employ a number of Summer Students across the Council, to work for a period of 12-16 weeks over the summer months (mid-November to February). Recruitment for Summer Students begins in early July. All applications must be submitted online via the vacancy on our Vacancies page between 1 July and 31 July each year.
