Building Officer - Compliance

Richmond, New Zealand

Reference: 5202017

We are a progressive Building Consent Authority with great people, great support and great tools. We like to challenge ourselves to do better - in everything we do.

As a Building Compliance Officer, you will provide technically and legally sound documentation recommending an appropriate course of action for non-compliance incidents, carry out building Warrant of Fitness inspections and help to ensure commercial building owners within the Tasman District maintain their safety systems.

While applicants with experience in a regulatory or investigatory field are preferred, if you are from a trade background and/or are technically minded, keen to learn and would like to start on a new career path, then we would also love to hear from you. It's all about attitude and an ability to work in a fast-paced team environment where support and camaraderie are paramount.

We are offering a comprehensive training and development plan for candidates with an entry-level qualification or experience in the building industry. Of course, working in a digital environment is a significant component of this role so we are looking for someone who is also technically savvy. The successful applicant will also demonstrate well-developed problem-solving abilities and excellent customer service ethos.

If you're looking for an interesting and challenging role in a fantastic team, apply now!
